Member benefits

Club membership offers many benefits for archery enthusiast. Without membership you may mainly join our guided training sessions by paying for each time. For members, it’s possible to:

  • use our training ranges.
    • During indoor season we have daily training times in Tuulimäki shelter, Tapiola. It’s also possible to use club equipment during most shifts. Check detailed schedule here.
    • Helsingin Jousiammuntapiiri’s outdoor range at Ruskeasuo around the year.
    • Our field range at Oittaa, around the year.
  • have advice from our instructors during guided training sessions
    • Sessions are on Wednesdays at 18-20 and on Saturdays at 11-13. Guided training sessions are free for club members.
  • participate in our cources, e.g. branch cources where we offer detailed instructions for one type of bow and our field archery cources at spring.
  • participate our practice groups.
  • apply for club’s training stipends.
  • participate SJAL and FFAA competitions (you need both the club membership and the competition lisence).
    • Club supports it’s members participation in Finnish Championships by paying competition fee (up to 120 € per year).
  • apply for a locker to store your equipment at Tuulimäki.
    • We have limited amount of lockers and they are yearly distributed for those with most need.

Membership categories and joining

Membership of Robin Hood ry may be applied by people who pledge to comply with our club’s constitution and accept our function as specified by the constitution.

  • Regular members are club members who also peldge to represent our club when competing in competitions arranged by national federations which our club belongs in.
  • Junior members are regular members below 18 years old. Only difference between regular membership and junior membership is the amount of membership fee.
  • Associate membership may be applied by a person who is also member of another archery club in Finland. Associate member does not have vote in club meetings neither obligation to represent the club when competing. Otherwise they have same benefits as regular members.

Annual membership fees for year 2016 are :

  • Regular members 100 € (for those joining after 1.9.2016, the fee is 60 €)
  • Junior members 60 € (for those joining after 1.9.2016, the fee is 40 €)
  • Associate members 100 € (for those joining after 1.9.2016, the fee is 60 €)

You can get membership forms from our club instructions during training sessions. Membership forms are returned to instructors and you may enjoy membership benefits after the form is returned. Officially membership starts after is has been approved by the board.

Member statistics

Hood has over 370 members.

Number of members has been growing around 10-15 % per year.

About 25 % are under 18 year old and around 27 % are women.

About 4 % of members are over 70 years old.

65 % of mebers are from Espoo, 17 % from Helsinki.
